Every once in awhile, I like to take a look at this site’s analytics data and see how exactly people are finding my humble Internet home. Amid some search queries like “Gypsy Curses” and “Space Werewolves” and “Cover Songs,” there are some truly intriguing questions. Robyn and PJ both suggested that I answer these questions, and, well, here we are. I know good advice when I see it.
What Is The Cell Phone App That Cassidy Used In Sorority Row?
This one is kind of a gimme, since I talked about it in the comments of my Sorority Row post. The app is called FriendPin and it’s not a real phone app as far as I’m aware, although the technology behind is real and used by other apps like Foursquare and Brightkite.
Does ‘The Biggest Loser’ Have Another Connotation?
Sometimes it’s used to refer to a person with consistent bad luck or a general lack of useful skills. It doesn’t always have to be about exploitative reality TV.
Did Grant Morrison Ruin Batman?
No, and shut your mouth.
Did Grant Morrison Ruin the X-Men?
Mostly no. I mean, well, Planet X was a really terrible story, and it contained Jean’s death, which is unfortunately the plot point from GMozz’s run with the characters that has stuck the most firmly. I mean, come on, the character is called Phoenix, guys. But other than that one really bad story, I think that Morrison’s work with the X-Men is reinvigorating and a big philosophical shift for the franchise that has a nice balance of Morrison’s trademark zany big-picture ideas and solid superhero storytelling. Unlike his supericonic treatment of, say, The Justice League, he recognizes that the X-Men have always been outsiders and lets that inform some of the full-on weird choices he makes.
What Are The Names of All the Final Destination Movies?
This is tricky, so pay close attention:
Final Destination
Final Destination 2
Final Destination 3
The Final Destination
What Is That Smiths Song In 500 Days of Summer?
“Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want.”
What Is The Meaning of the Song “Wicked Game?”
Really? Ostensibly, the song is about the conflicted and self-destructive emotions that can crop up when falling in love. There is also a topless supermodel frolicking on a beach. The latter is probably more important in dissecting the meaning of the song.
What Is The Country Song With The Pregnant Girl Named Juliet?
“Fancy,” by Reba McIntyre. Or “The Gambler,” by Kenny Rogers.
Did Kanye West Produce Taylor Swift’s Song “Love Story?”
Actually, in a subtle use of auto-tune, Kanye West provided the backing vocals on “Love Story.” However, he wasn’t involved on the production end; that was a collaboration between Swift and Bob Rock.
“Is Doctor Life Like On Grey’s Anatomy?”
As soon as you become a licensed doctor, you are issued a dysfunctional romance with a coworker, a new set of parent issues and a compulsion to speak as smarmily and pop-referentially as possible with an emphasis on rapid fire, monosyllabic exclamations. Also, after a few years, you’ll find out you have a sister you never knew about. Oh, and if you’re a doctor, you can get legally married just by writing on a post-it note.
Does Owl City Sound Like Ben Folds?
Not at all, no. Owl City sounds like the Kids Bop version of The Postal Service.
What Is The Premise Of The Haunting of Molly Hartley?
I’m not sure I can tell you. I’m not sure anyone can.
