in Stuff I Like

So LOST is back, and I’m pretty excited for the final season.  My pal Aaron is even more excited than I am, which is why we had this conversation about the show earlier today, which is based on my seeing about 30 minutes of the season premiere.  Light spoilers for those 30 minutes follow.

Jeff: Man, that whole plane sequence just confirms that Jack is really great at messing up other peoples’ lives.

Jeff’s Friend Aaron: Oh hell yes!  He’s a disease.

Jeff: I am shocked that Sawyer didn’t just murder him when he came up out of that pit.

Aaron: He did the “Sawyer Stare.”  I mean, Jack’s heart should have just stopped.  It was The Stare, with a slight shake, too.

Jeff: And of course, Kate is immediately like ‘Hey Sawyer, let’s go make out!’

Aaron: So true! I hate Kate so much sometimes. She has to make everything all about her.

Jeff: Man, Jack, you tried to blow up a hydrogen bomb for the sole purpose of getting back together with a girl who tries to mack on a guy whose girlfriend literally just died in his arms like a half hour ago. Slow clap.

Aaron: Man, you need to watch the second hour and then we’ll talk.

Jeff: Do you find out what’s in Hurley’s guitar case?

Aaron: Yes.

Jeff: Is it a guitar?

Aaron: No. It’s a case full of guns.

Jeff: Wait, seriously? How would Hurley get a case full of guns through airport security?

Aaron: They don’t address it. But dude, Antonio Banderas runs out of the jungle and kills everybody!

Jeff: Best. Show. Ever.  “Sorry, El Mariachi, looks like you just got… LOST.”

Aaron: Yes!

Jeff: *announcer voice* Antonio Banderas joins the final season of LOST, only on ABC.

Aaron: DESTINY FOUND

Jeff: Does that make Claire’s baby DESTINY’S CHILD?

Aaron: I’d feel safe saying that.

Jeff: How does he feel about Beyonce leaving him for Jay-Z?

Several seasons ago, I started calling her DammitKate. Nothing I have seen since has made me want to change my mind.
