Because the other posts I have in my brain are about Jersey Shore or Count Dooku.
Amazing Spider-Man #639 – Continuing the retelling of Spider-Man’s wedding in the most cludgy and awful way possible. Yes, it’s nice that you gave Mary Jane a cell phone, but name-dropping Princess Di with the insinuation that she is still alive leaves the reprinted material firmly anchored in the 1980s. Also, the coloring on the old material looks awful alongside the new material.
Captain America #608 – So good. Every issue.
Darkstar and the Winter Guard #3 – Giant flying bear? Old school ROM: SPACEKNIGHT villains? I’m sold.
Doomwar #6 – Better than Siege was, and I liked Siege. The best Doctor Doom story of the decade.
Gorilla Man #2 – My favorite Agent of Atlas in his own mini-series? I basically have to pick it up. The first issue was the exact blend of high concept action, dialogue and joy that makes Jeff Parker’s work so readable.
Hawkeye and Mockingbird #3 – Jim McCann and David Lopez can do no wrong.
Secret Six #24 – See my comment about Captain America.
SHIELD #3 – If I had to compare SHIELD to an ad campaign, it would be Old Spice’s YouTube campaign – giving you quick bits to nerd out over in quick succession and with an overabundance of charisma.
Spitfire #1 – Who doesn’t like redheaded British vampire ladies?
Young Allies #3 – McKeever’s teen team book is a lot darker than I originally expected, but it’s really solid and it’s nice to see Gravity and Firestar again.
